The Augusta Boxing Club and the city of Augusta was host to the 2005 Silver Gloves East Coast Championships. Champion Boxers from 8 East Coast States competed for the right to attend the National Silver Gloves held in Kansas City.

Participants aged 10 - 15 years demonstrated exceptional skill and athletic ability. Winners advanced to Lenexa Kansas for the National Championships in February 2005.
